According
to a national study conducted in 2004 by the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR)
Program, a violent crime is committed every 23.1 seconds. That's
nearly 1.4 million violent crimes each year! The Journal of
Criminal Law and Criminology estimates firearms are used every 13
